Birch charcoal for kamado and BBQ

Birch charcoal for controlled barbecuing

Birch charcoal is a powerful and reliable choice for outdoor cooks who want control over temperature, burn time, and airflow. The different Birch blends combine birch wood with other selected European hardwoods. This makes it easy to choose the charcoal that best suits your way of barbecuing.

Three Birch blends for different preparations

Within this collection, you will find three different varieties. Birch Oak combines birch and oak and is a versatile choice for grilling, searing, and low & slow barbecuing. Birch Hornbeam contains birch and hornbeam and excels during long cooks where a stable temperature is important. Birch Aspen is an accessible all-rounder made from birch and aspen that lights easily and is easy to control.

Suitable for hot & fast and low & slow

The Birch charcoal varieties are suitable for a range of cooking techniques. Use the powerful heat for searing meat, baking pizzas, or grilling vegetables. For pulled pork, spareribs, and brisket, let the charcoal burn for a long time in a controlled manner at a lower temperature.

Thanks to its good airflow and even burning, Birch performs excellently in a Titan Kamado, but also in a smoker or traditional charcoal barbecue.

Which Birch charcoal should I choose?

Choose Birch Oak when you are looking for versatile charcoal with a mild grilling flavor. Birch Hornbeam is particularly suitable for long low & slow sessions and stable temperatures. Birch Aspen is the flexible all-rounder for outdoor cooks who regularly switch between slow cooking and grilling at high temperatures.
