BBQ thermometers for accurate temperature measurement
Measuring temperature while barbecuing
Accurate temperature measurement helps you take meat, fish, and other dishes off the barbecue at exactly the right moment. With a meat thermometer, you measure the temperature in the thickest part of the dish. This means you do not have to rely solely on cooking time, color, or feel.
The Titan Kamado Bluetooth Meat Thermometer combines wireless temperature monitoring with Bluetooth 5.3, an accuracy of ±1°C, and a water-resistant IP67 probe.
Why use a meat thermometer?
The temperature in the kamado does not automatically tell you how well-done the dish is on the inside. Two pieces of meat of the same weight may require different cooking times due to differences in thickness, starting temperature, and fat content.
By measuring the core temperature, you can determine more accurately when the dish has reached the desired result. This is especially important for large cuts of meat, poultry, and long low & slow cooking.
Wireless measurement via Bluetooth
A Bluetooth meat thermometer makes it possible to monitor the temperature remotely. This means you need to open the kamado lid less often. This prevents heat loss and helps keep the temperature in the barbecue stable.
The Bluetooth 5.3 connection provides wireless communication with a compatible mobile device. The actual range may be affected by walls, doors, the material of the barbecue, and other obstacles.
Positioning the probe correctly
Insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat and avoid direct contact with bone, thick layers of fat, or the grill grate. These areas can transmit a different temperature and therefore result in a less representative measurement.
For poultry, place the probe in the thickest part of the breast or thigh without touching the bone. For larger cuts of beef or pork, place the measuring tip as close to the center of the meat as possible.
The meat thermometer is suitable for use with a Titan Kamado, smoker, oven, and other barbecues.
Ideal for low & slow cooking
Pulled pork, brisket, pork shoulder, and other low & slow dishes can take several hours to prepare. A wireless thermometer helps you monitor the progress without having to stand next to the barbecue all the time.
Do not consider only the final internal temperature. For some cuts of meat, the time the meat has spent at that temperature is also important for achieving the desired tenderness and texture.
Cleaning and storage
After use, allow the probe to cool and clean the part that has come into contact with food. The probe has an IP67 rating, but always follow the product's cleaning instructions.
Do not immerse the electronic components or charging components in water. Dry the probe thoroughly before storing the thermometer and avoid kinking or damaging the cable or measuring tip during storage.
