Titan Kamado Looftlighter BBQ Fire Starter

Safely and quickly light a kamado and BBQ

Light your kamado quickly and safely

A great BBQ session starts with charcoal that is lit evenly and under control. With the right fire starter, you avoid unnecessary smoke, unpleasant odors, and chemical residue. The Titan Kamado range offers a choice between natural firelighter curls and a powerful electric BBQ lighter.

Light your kamado electrically

An electric BBQ lighter brings the charcoal to a glow within a few minutes. Its focused stream of hot air ignites the charcoal without gas, lighter fluid, or chemical fuels.

Light your kamado electrically This is especially convenient when you barbecue regularly and want to get started quickly. You only need a power outlet. Direct the hot air at one or more spots between the charcoal, then briefly blow the airflow over the glowing coals to spread the fire further.

Light your kamado with firelighter curls

Firelighter curls are a simple and natural way to light charcoal. Place one or more curls between the charcoal and light them. The steady flame allows the surrounding charcoal to gradually start glowing.

Firelighter curls are ideal when there is no power outlet nearby or when you are looking for a compact lighting method that is easy to store near the barbecue. They are suitable for a kamado, smoker, charcoal barbecue, and fireplace.

Do not use lighter fluid in a kamado

Lighter fluid and other chemical fuels are not suitable for a ceramic kamado. The ceramic can absorb odors and substances that may later be released during barbecuing. Therefore, choose natural firelighter curls or an electric lighter.

Also use high-quality charcoal for kamados and BBQs. Good charcoal ignites evenly, produces stable heat, and makes it easier to control your barbecue's temperature.

Light in one or more spots?

For low & slow cooking, one lit spot is often sufficient. The fire will then spread slowly through the charcoal, making it easier to keep the temperature low and stable.

For grilling, searing, or baking pizza, you can light the charcoal in multiple spots. This creates a larger, hotter fire more quickly. Open the lower air intake and the vent at the top of the kamado while it is heating up.

Once the desired temperature is near, gradually close both vents. This prevents the temperature of your Titan Kamado from overshooting too far.
