Heat-resistant BBQ gloves for your kamado
Heat-resistant BBQ gloves for safe barbecuing
When barbecuing, you work with high temperatures, hot grates and warm accessories. Heat-resistant BBQ gloves help protect your hands and wrists and provide extra grip when working around a kamado, smoker or charcoal barbecue.
The leather Titan Kamado BBQ gloves are available in black and brown. In addition to protecting your hands, the long fit provides extra coverage around the wrists.
When do you use BBQ gloves?
Wear BBQ gloves when opening and operating a hot kamado, moving grill tools and working near the grill grate. They are also practical when refilling or rearranging cooled accessories.
Use the gloves for, among other things:
- Operating hot ventilation components
- Holding hot BBQ tools
- Placing or removing a grill grate
- Working around a pizza stone or heat shield
- Moving accessories after they have cooled sufficiently
- Extra protection when lighting the kamado
Never handle burning charcoal, open flames or extremely hot parts directly with the gloves.
Leather BBQ gloves with extra grip
Leather is sturdy, durable and provides a good grip on tools and accessories. The fit helps prevent hot sparks or small pieces of charcoal from coming directly into contact with the skin.
The gloves are intended as temporary protection against heat. How long you can safely hold a hot part depends on the temperature, the material used and the condition of the gloves.
Can you feel heat coming through the material? Then immediately place the item down safely.
Always use gloves dry
Never use heat-resistant gloves when they are wet or damp. Moisture can conduct heat quickly through the material, increasing the risk of burns.
Before each use, check the gloves for wear, tears, damaged seams, and thinned areas. Damaged gloves provide less protection and should be replaced in good time.
Working safely with BBQ tools
Combine the gloves with long BBQ tools. Sturdy tongs, a spatula, or a fork helps you maintain sufficient distance from the hot grill grate.
Use a suitable pizza peel from our collection to move pizzas pizza accessories. This way, you do not have to put your hands near the hot pizza stone.
Cleaning and maintenance
After use, allow the gloves to cool completely. Carefully remove loose dirt and food residue with a dry brush or cloth. Do not soak leather BBQ gloves in water for extended periods or put them in the washing machine, unless this is explicitly permitted in the product instructions.
Allow damp gloves to dry naturally, away from open flames and direct heat sources. Then store them in a dry, well-ventilated place.
